‘In the weeds’ explores the space between feeling overwhelmed and fully blown; a space where we aren’t sure what’s real, what we can handle and what will be the last straw.

This delicate moment is where the absurd begins to creep in. 

The work unfolds the attempt to navigate a crash landing during a pandemic. Uncertainty, isolation, and paralysis are at the base of this new work…looped through the lens of the ridiculous and absurd. Animations become painted stills, layered on vinyl, topped with neon…begging the viewer to find a place to land, to make room for themselves in a space overgrown, yet familiar.
